research & education for soils with native plants

what are healthy soils for native plants?

Phoenix Regen is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that improves habitat restoration outcomes through soil-based solutions.

Our ecologists and soil biologists test soil for nutrients and microbiology in order to create holistic remediation strategies.

soils are living

Soils are the underlying foundation of ecosystem health. Their microscopic food webs directly influence plant survival and persistence. From climate and wildfire resilience, to carbon sequestration and pollinator population recovery, soils health is key to restoration outcomes.

educational videos for soil improvement strategies

Our mission is to share information and build a community of stewards to improve soils for wildlife.

Stay tuned on YouTube for new videos on soil biology, current research, and implementation strategies.

soil-based weed control

non-native plants degrade ecosystems, but so do herbicides. What if improving soils for native plants yielded improved restoration outcomes? Phoenix Regen studies both native and non-native plants for new vegetation management strategies.

support our work for healthier natural environments

Phoenix Regen is a non-profit and relies on financial contributions to conduct research and create shared educational resources.
